Contoh Soal How to Thank and Express Gratitude Formally - In this lesson, you are going to learn about how to thank and how to express gratitude in formal manners. Before you see several examples of conversation about expressing gratitude, it is better for you to understand its meaning and in what situation people usually use the expressions.
Gratitude means the feeling of being grateful or thankful. Expressing gratitude is very important because it is something that lets others know that you appreciate them for what they have done to you. For example, they give you assistance or gifts, they support you or they give you compliments.
When do we need to use formal expressions? In what situations and to who does this manner apply? There are cases when those who help us are not people who are close to us. They can be strangers or new people we meet on a trip, in a seminar or they happen to be older or more superior (e.g. headmaster, teacher, tutor, etc.). In that case, we have to express our gratitude formally.
